Classic Bite Commentary #96 – April 19th, 2010

A bunch of stuff happened today that, rather than bombard you with a lot of quick posts here and there, I may well bundle them together. There’s even a little something extra for you to read towards the end of the post.

So there’s been a bit of buzz surrounding last night’s TNA Lockdown PPV event… and for anyone wondering, no, I haven’t seen it. I’ve got better things to do even in my free agency phase.

So for those who have not followed the news, word is that Sean “Syxx-Pac” Waltman no-showed last night’s TNA Lockdown PPV. According to one report on PWPIX.Net, he didn’t show because he didn’t want to do the job due to the amount of money he was being paid. Some assume that TNA is done with the former X-Pac.

Anyone who is SURPRISED by this turn of events… raise your hand right now.

Anyone at all?

Oh wait. There’s a group of hands there… they seem to originate from TNA Management.

Don’t be surprised that TNA decides to “overlook” this incident and bring him back anyway. Reliability may not exactly be in Waltman’s vocabulary, but that’s okay. Neither is it in TNA’s.

Speaking of unreliable, some volcanoes in Iceland have been shooting out clouds of ash. Clouds of ash naturally make it difficult for planes to fly, so this has resulted in flights being delayed all across Europe. Now, this has WWE brass worried because the RAW crew, fresh off their recent overseas tour, is still in Europe and there’s a distinct possibility that they might not make it to the RAW taping in New Jersey.

Hey, wait a minute. Triple H is still in the states, right? Why don’t you make it the Triple H show for one-night-only? It’s been a few years since we had to endure that crap every week and people seem to have forgotten about it (not to mention that He of the Three Hs is actually, remotely entertaining and wrestling watchable matches… a step up in my opinion). So why not? You can have McGruber reward him with another “fake” World title: the WWE International Western Heritage Game Championship belt. It’ll be great!

On second thought, no…. no it won’t.

But seriously… even though we can make fun of this situation, it’s the kind of thing that actually sucks and messes up the scheduling. Hopefully, something will be done to salvage this whole deal… because honestly, I DON’T want to watch TNA Impact. The show has become mind-numbingly bad and I’d much rather sit through two hours of sleep-inducing McSon-In-Law promos than whatever crap is going to spew out of Dixieland.

One final note… a word from PWInsider.com:

World Wrestling Entertainment issued a press release this morning announcing WWE Studios is currently filming a new film in Louisiana, Killing Karma.

Batista had been publicly announced for the lead role a few months back, but was replaced by Triple H. According to sources, Batista is furious over the change.

“Batista wants to be a movie star,” one source noted.

There was much discussion over the company’s tour of Europe that Batista will leave WWE when his current deal expires in the summer. He’s claimed to friends in recent months that he’s looking to wind down his in-ring career in order to focus on acting.

So yes, Batista is jobbed out to Triple H over a movie role. That hurts.

Does this mean another movie starring Triple H is never going to be made? Whatever happened to that other movie he was supposed to be in?

Anyway, that’s about it. We’ll see how this RAW deal turns out and hopefully, it won’t lead to me having to watch IMPACT or anything like that. Spare me that pain, please.
