Classic Bite Commentary #57 – October 13th, 2006

It’s Friday the 13th. And we all know what that means… Another Bite commentary. And so enough of the fluffy introductions you probably skip over anyway and let’s get on with the show. I’ll try and make sure that there is more than enough material.

Anyone who saw the No Mercy PPV last Sunday… man, do I feel sorry for you. Apparently, a friend of mine told me that I was wise not to buy the show as it wasn’t all that great. Also, I apparently dodged a bullet when they exposed ex-Lord Steven Regal’s sausage to the world… the world is watching gay porn now? I didn’t know that.

Apparently, being the classy family-friendly sports-entertainment company that they are, WWE issued the following statement via its WWE.com website:

World Wrestling Entertainment would like to apologize to anyone who watched WWE No Mercy and was offended by the William Regal locker room incident. Conduct of this kind is unacceptable in a family-friendly environment, and WWE accepts full responsibility. Nudity of any kind, even in a live television environment, is offensive to our audience and to the reputation of our company.

Now isn’t that nice of them to apologize? See, they can be a responsible company when they want to be.

Meanwhile, WWE promoted the heck out of their Extreme Strip Poker match for their Extremely Crappy Wrestling show. Ah, so much for being classy. Not that such a thing matters anyway, seeing as these “apologies” could have happened after every other “kiss-my-ass” club segment, every other necrophilia segment, and other stupidities.

I would have used this space to talk about the new Mortal Kombat game that came out. Unfortunately, the X-Box version has been delayed for another week. So I have this empty space.

That’s it for the moment.

I ramble about things.

Keep your comments nice and clean and we'll be fine. Thanks.
