I was supposed to get this up last night, but shit happens. So here they are now in a quick and convenient format: my predictions for Rumble 2k6.
EDIT NOTE: Since I haven’t seen the show and got the results from show reports, I’ll forgo the usual banter and just post the winners, along with my usual scorecards. Expect some thoughts concerning these results on Friday.
JBL vs. the Boogeyman
You know something? Maybe I should have sat this one out and shot early predictions for TNA or something. The Boogeyman, while an entertaining character, isn’t much of a wrestler… nor is a decent big man. Somehow, I see him getting the win because at this point, JBL is on a downward spiral that nobody can overturn.

Mickie James vs. Ashley Massaro – Special Guest Ref: Trish Stratus
Oh man, talk about crap. I had managed a copy of NYR and thought the Trish/Mickie match was tremendous. Unfortunately, reality kicks in and we have to stick in the Diva Search tramp in there, thus deserving of the whole type of attention I usually give the modern-day “diva” match… as in none at all.

Kid Kash Defends in a Cruiserweight Title Open Invitational
The Cruiser-without-a-direction-weight division could do a lot worse than Kid Kash as champion. Truth be told; he’s one of the better champions to hold that belt, so I’ll take the long shot and pick him as the winner against whoever he faces.

Edge (C) vs. John Cena
John Cena may be driving merchandising sales, but Edge brings in RATINGS! Probably a good reason why I put the belt on him back when I was playing that Promotion Wars game a couple years ago. If I were a smart promoter, I’d keep the belt on Edgie.
