Classic Bite Commentary #24 – February 14th, 2003

A new commentary after nearly a goddamn month… not necessarily a long one either.

I wanted to post something up earlier, but things got in the way. I got sidetracked. People who have been to the site for a long time know about the long delays that seem to be creeping in again. Bottom line is everything is fine. Updates will be slower now and then, but the site is still alive and well, not that you would care. Of course, I assume that you do, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this commentary, now would you?

Happy Valentine’s Day to all you lovebirds out there. Yep, the infamous holiday where happy couples celebrate and single bastards such as myself pass the day off as another normal uneventful day. Hey girls, can’t find a decent gift for your fanboy other? Here’s a thought: take ’em to see the new Daredevil movie, which conviniently enough opens on this very day… actually, that was a joke. I wonder who fell for it.

All kidding aside, major problems come. Tradegies happen. That deal with the Columbia disaster was a sad thing, a wasteful way to go. Of course, you know that’s the case if you take on a high-risk mission. It’s kind of a coincidence that this event happens just a few days after the anniversary of the Challenger disaster that happened back in the 1980s… and of course, there’s the search for “weapons of mass destruction” down in the Middle East. I’m not even going to touch that.

I’m back. Vince is back. Stone Cold is back. Rock is back. Turtles are back. Hogan is back… ugh, that last one makes me wanna puke.

Vince is back: after a long hiatus since July, Vince McMahon returns to TV. It seems as though the crowd misses Vinny, because last Monday’s RAW offering saw a high rating for once.

Stone Cold is back: I’ve read the RAW Magazine article featuring “The Stone Cold Truth.”

Rock is back: He’ll return to the ring and face Hogan… ugh.

Turtles are back: The new TMNT animated series is well done. The serialization aspect is something that makes this different from the old cartoon. The next episode preview shows that the series follow the original comic closely.

Hogan is back… that’s as far as I’ll go, so that’s it. See you next chance I get.

I ramble about things.

Keep your comments nice and clean and we'll be fine. Thanks.
