Classic Bite Commentary #20 – November 21st, 2002

Good morning, boys and girls. This week was lots of fun for me thanks to our ever-diligent Montreal weather. If you are reading the commentary because of the “special announcement,” mentioned on the front page, let’s get on with it, shall we?

The website, for the most part, is in its most shambled state since the new “redesign.” Why didn’t I keep the old design? It was nicer looking and wasn’t much of a pain in the ass to keep track off. This is getting screwed up for me. What is actually worse about all this is the fact that I still haven’t put up that damned Beginnings which, as of this month, is over three years delayed. THREE YEARS?! It takes three years for a simple conversion project?! Holy buck-weed-on-crack, Batman!
The site, in all honesty, was fine before I decided to add Comicopia and plan on Wrestle-Crap and the PR section. Even then, the main page became a “hub” so you can go straight to each section. That would have been good enough, but nope. I had to redo everything. Mind you, I’m glad I did, because I like the new banners (although personally I like the animated gifs… oh well). However, it kinda sucks. The only significant constant in the universe is The Bite, which hasn’t changed much with the exception of the earlier commentaries being removed.
So what happens? With predictions of crappy weather coming up for the coming week-end, I’m going to fix the new design. Hopefully, by next Monday, there won’t be a single broken link anywhere on the site and it will work fine. And if I am really in a nice mood, I will restore Version 2 (albeit with slight changes and the like). Once the reconstruction is done, everything should operate within normal parameters.
Okay, continue if you will, but remember, the rest of the commentary contains some profanity and may offend some people. If you are brave enough, continue. Just covering my ass here.
Sunday brought about 10 tons of steel in the form of Eric Bischoff’s Elimination Chamber. Monday brought 10 tons of snow in the form of… well, snow. It started snowing on Sunday, but by Monday, there was snow everywhere. I mean, shitloads of snow, not just thin sheets. In a matter of two days, the Winter season came early… and we’re still in the middle of November! We’re not supposed to be getting 15 to 30 centimeters worth of snow. We’re not supposed to be getting any snow until late-November at the earliest. And we are nowhere near late-November for another week!
Our neighbor next door commented on the Elimination Snowfall by saying “it’s payment for the lack of snow last year.” I think somebody shoot him before his prediction comes true… BLAM! That was swell…
Wild Force’s finale aired on ABC during the week-end and all I have to say is… that’s it? I’m sorry, but I expected more than that. The finale is where there is a sense of closure to the current chapter. This is absolutely pathetic…
By the way, I’ve missed “Countdown to Destruction”, the PRiS finale, for the second time since ABC Family began airing these Ranger re-runs. If I’m lucky, I’ll catch it during one of the daily runs. It’s bad enough I haven’t caught “Ninja Encounter” at all… although I would be really, really, REALLY happy if our illustrious Family channel would show the damn episode so my collection of obscure crap would be complete… and no, I don’t want to download the episodes consisting of crap-quality and add to my monthly bandwidth.
Oh crap. I saw a really stupid picture on Scotsmanality.Com of a naked guy who painted himself to look like Spider-Man. Fuck, I’m gonna be sick.
Okay, that last bit just grossed me out there, so I’m going to end my commentary here. See you next week.

I ramble about things.

Keep your comments nice and clean and we'll be fine. Thanks.
